Why grow microgreens?
As you may know, microgreens have become one of my favorite things to grow.
Not only because they taste good, but they are nutritious too!
Microgreens also can be harvested as soon as 5 days after sowing.
Gardening doesn’t get any more rewarding than that!
What can you use microgreens for?
All kinds of things.
They’re quite versatile!
Soups, sandwiches, garnishes, salads, pastas, sauces, and more! If you’ve grown them before, how did you use them? Leave me a comment and let me know below!
Here’s how my first grow using this kit looked like 5 days after planting the seeds!
Grow Your Own Mini Microgreen Forest
Are you excited to mow down that little microgreen forest (picture above) with your micro-Friskars?!
I suppose you can use large scissors like these too…
But the micro-Friskars seem more appropriate 😉
And that’s what I use, since I’m pretty conservative when harvesting.
After all, I can only eat so many microgreens in one sitting 😮
Here’s my video review of the hydroponic sectional microgreen growing kit.
It includes an unboxing and walk-through on how to use this kit from start to finish!

Overall Impressions of the Microgreen Kit
Are good!
My favorite part? Aside from eating the microgreens, is that the tray has 8 different sections so you can grow multiple types at the same time! 👏
Regardless of your microgreen growing experiences, this kit is a great way to get started.
The instructions are straightforward.
And it includes all that you need to grow microgreens quickly and easily-
- 6 microgreen growing trays sectioned into 8 areas with drain holes
- a bottom and top lid
- biodegradable growing pads
- a spray bottle
- pH tester for your water
- 6 bags of seeds (kaiware daikon, mustard, salad mix, spicy salad mix, broccoli, cabbage, sunflower sprouts, and basil). Each bag has enough seeds to last you at least 10-20 rounds, depending on how dense you sow your seeds! 😛
I was able to harvest my greens within 5-10 days (some were slower than others – sunflower seeds ahem).
The flavors were potent and just as you would expect (if you’ve eaten microgreens before!)

And to wrap things up, here are some close up macro shots of the microgreens.
Beautiful aren’t they?
